scope of work
upgrading internal space, including eight clinical consulting rooms that needed to be compliant with Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards.
this included stripping out existing fixtures, supplying and installing HTM64 compliant tap and sink basins with IPS (Integrated Plumbing System), installing new flooring and blinds, and reconfiguring internal walls to meet healthcare standards and maximise the space.
challenges faced
one of the main challenges of this project was working within a live health centre environment.
our team had to navigate around busy staff and patients, requiring careful coordination and scheduling to minimise disruption – it was our priority was to limit dust and noise levels to ensure they did not affect ongoing activities within the health centre while staying on track with the project timeline.
outcome
the project was a success, meeting the brief and the requirements for CQC compliance.
we completed the work within the designated program and budget, demonstrating our commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare refurbishments efficiently and effectively.
it was also testament to our capability for undertaking complex works in live environments while maintaining operational continuity and client satisfaction.
