scope of work
our team successfully secured a tender for a comprehensive mechanical and electrical project involving a full upgrade to the variable refrigerant flow (VRF) system throughout the building.
this included removing existing redundant services, installing new pipework, AC units, branch controllers, and associated equipment, as well as upgrading distribution boards and cabling and commissioning the new system – as the existing system was outdated and not meeting healthcare requirements.
challenges faced
a significant challenge was the crane lift required to position new plant equipment on the roof, however our team managed this safely and efficiently.
all work was conducted at night under the supervision of a dedicated site manager to minimise disruption to the live health centre.
rooms where works were carried out at night had to be reinstated and ready for morning surgeries.
outcome
the completed project ensured the health centre's compliance with ventilation and heating regulations, enhancing the overall environment for patients and staff.
despite the complexity and need for night-time work, we successfully delivered the upgrade with minimal disruption, demonstrating our commitment to operational efficiency and ensuring a happy client.
