scope of work

our task involved replacing multiple internal door sets within a health centre, including the removal of existing doors and frames, supply and installation of new door sets with ironmongery and architraves, and making necessary wall and flooring repairs. 

                                      

our team needed to address walls that had deteriorated during removal of old door sets, as well as adjusting the new door positions to match existing layouts, requiring infilling with matching carpet or vinyl.

all door sets also needed to meet strict fire regulations, requiring approval from an authorised inspector.

challenges faced

this demanding project required out-of-hours work over several weekends due to the health centre's operational hours and distance from our base in Manchester.

our experienced team also discovered asbestos, necessitating its safe removal before any works could proceed.

furthermore, long lead times for door procurement added complexity to project management; however we were able to plan efficiently, and always maintain a clean and tidy internal environment for staff returning on mondays.
